2020 Manitoba Games powered by Manitoba Hydro

The Manitoba Games powered by Manitoba Hydro are the province's largest ongoing multi-sport program, bringing together participants from across the province. The Games are held every two years and alternate between summer and winter sports events. Each set of Games involves upwards of 7,500 athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers.

Participation in the Manitoba Games begins with regional try outs. Regional teams of approximately 200 athletes, coaches, and managers go on to participate in the Provincial Finals. Dauphin will host the 2020 Manitoba Games powered by Manitoba Hydro Aug 9-15, 2020.

Our sport is pleased to be part of these Games. The following information is provided to give you more information on who is eligible and how you can become involved as an athlete or coach.

Athlete Opportunities

Athletes will be 14 and under as of December 31, 2020. Only players born in 2006 and 2007 are eligible. 

Players will be scouted at the 2019 13U AAA Provincial Championships (Tier 1 and Tier 2). Development Camps will be held in the Fall of 2019 and the Winter of 2020. Spring Training Development Camps will be held in April 2020, followed by Selection Camps in May 2020. Teams will be selected in June 2020. 

Costs will be approximately $10 to attend any 1 camp. Team Fees for making the Regional Team and attending the Games are set by Sport Manitoba.

Players are encouraged to attend at least 1 camp per Fall, Winter, and Spring. Attendance is NOT mandatory until Selection Camps in May, 2020.
