RBI - Reaching Baseball Ideals

RBI Program.jpg

The RBI Program was designed in 2008 by Baseball Canada in order to ensure local associations applied common criteria to promote best practices. The program informs parents as to which associations provide the best programs for their children. The RBI Program also gives local associations something to strive for in order to improve their current practices and offer the best possible baseball experience for their players. Here are some of the requirements needed to be RBI Approved:

  • Baseball Manitoba (Baseball Canada) Membership
  • Baseball Canada Development Programs (DQ Rally Cap, Grand Slam, My First Pitch, etc.)
  • NCCP Coach Training (hosting coach clinics)
  • NOCP Umpire Training (hosting umpire clinics)
  • Accessibility and Inclusion (male/female/persons with disabilities)
  • Pitching Safety (use of Pitch Count)

What is the RBI Program?

How can my association apply for accreditation through the RBI Program?
In order to become a RBI Approved association, simply send an email to rbi@baseball.ca addressing all the criteria in the document at the top of the page. Baseball Canada will contact you to approve your Association or to ask additional questions.
